Octopus steals scuba diver's camera to shoot selfie video

SYDNEY, June 6 (UPI) -- An octopus off the coast of Australia stole a scuba driver's GoPro and snapped a short selfie video before the diver got his camera back.

The diver, who posted the video online, said he was scuba diving in Sydney Harbor when he decided to set down his GoPro so he could film himself in front of an octopus' lair.

The video shows the octopus snatch up the camera and pull it into the lair, taking a short selfie video.

The diver is eventually able to wrestle the camera back from the cephalopod cinematographer.
